God
In this
dark night of the soul
I am shaken with numb grief
and my body is nowhere to be found
All hope has been filled with foreboding darkness
The realization that all of my beliefs
are but the hallucinations of my ancestors
I am lost in nothingness and have found the truth
but do not know my inner self.
There is a Zen saying, he who has don’t know, owns the universe.
We live in a world where ego is king, and his mighty servants are belief systems, the perpetuation of fundamentalism, and the body of humans. As to this talk of God, I say why bother with this course, which has brought humankind so little fruit. Let us bow down to this ego king and give him our respect, let our patience and humility give birth to a mighty wisdom that we may slay him with compassion. I say to you, O humankind, he is your closest of kin and you must have his blood on your hands to know your lord.
