Self
A young boy sits in a boat while his father fishes
The father catches a fish and tells the young boy to take the hook out of
the fish’s mouth
the boy picks up the fish
it slips out of his hands
and it slips out of his hands
and it slips out of his hands
I have come to a playful conclusion that the self has to be captured, claimed and made as our own, it belongs to us, it is our birthright, it is us.
It would be so much easer if we were taught as children to know the self, for it is one of the most rewarding, difficult, simple, elusive, exciting, awesome, humbling, painstaking, etc., endeavors a human being can embark on.
